If elected, everyone in the unit – even those who voted no – would be subject to the union’s rules, required to pay dues, and forced to accept the contract that union bosses negotiate on their behalf.
Once elected, unions are very difficult to remove from the workplace. The process is formally dictated by the National Labor Relations Board and doesn’t happen overnight.
